Successful marriage between the legendary Chateau Cheval Blanc and Argentinean producer Terrazas, the 2002 is the debut release of Cheval des Andes and a strong indicator that this will be one of the New World's best wines; the wine has a deep purple red color, aromatic nose of black current with a touch of vanilla and concentrated dark and red fruit flavors with a long, round tannic finish; this complex wine is an excellent example of very carefully made, super premium wines coming from Mendoza.
Serve at 18℃; this robust wine pairs well with roast beef and rack of lamb or try with Argentinean BBQ meats; also very nice with hearty Chinese meat dishes like Beijing style roasted lamb.
18 months in French oak.
Drink nicely now but can be cellared for well over a decade.
