One of the better and more reasonably priced Barolo wines, this wine has a rich garnet color, lively nose of red fruits and violets and concentrated black fruit and cherry flavors with a velvety texture and a long complex finish; since the early 20th century when Alfredo Prunotto bought this winery and gave it his name, the winery has produced lovely, traditional Piedmont wines; now owned by Antinori.
Serve at 18℃ and allow 30 minutes for breathing; match with full flavored foods like hearty roasted meats, game and strong cheeses, also very nice with Dong-Puo Pork.
2 years in a combination of Slavonian and French oak and 1 year in the bottle.
