Less powerful than the Grey Label Shiraz, this wine is still quite concentrated with a brooding dark red color, plum and black pepper nose and pleasant flavors of spicy plums, mixed pepper corns and oak; raised in Germany, Wolf Blass bought his first vineyard in Australia in 1996; the company is now a part of the Fosters Group.
Serve at 18℃; the wine matches well with a wide variety of red meats including some spicy Szechuan and Hunan meat dishes.
