One of the better second wines of Bordeaux as it truly reflects the character of Chateau Canon, the wine has a fine deep red color, elegant aromas of plums and blueberries and plenty of black fruit flavors with hints of nuts and leather and a long smooth finish; after being acquired by Chanel in 1996 this historic chateau has regained its reputation as one of the best Saint Emilion wines.
Allow 30 - 40 minutes breathing and serve at 18℃; this balanced wine pairs well with many meat and cheese dishes; in China try with Huangshan Braised Pigeon and Cantonese style Suckling Pig.
12 months in French oak.
Ready now but can be cellared for another 8 - 10 years.
