Remarkable wine made from vines 80 to 110 years old, it features a dark ruby red-purple color, impressive nose of plums, pepper with hints of fresh herbs, and very concentrated and elegant black fruit, leather and black pepper flavors with a very long complex finish; established in the middle of the 19th century, Domaine Chante Cigale is now one of the best wine producers of Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the Southern Rhône.
Allow at least 1 hour for breathing, best decant and serve at 18℃; super wine with many kinds of hearty meat dishes, especially game; also nice with Chinese Smoked Duck.
70% in cement tanks, 30% in new oak barrels for 18 - 24 months.
