The Shiraz grape continues to produce Australia's best, and best value red wines. Lindemans, Bin 50, Shiraz, 2001 is a pleasantly fruity wine with good concentration and structure. The wine has good weight in the mouth. Like all good Shiraz wines it provides a touch of spiciness. This is probably the best red wine of Lindemans Bin series. Match this wine with BBQ meats and spicy meat dishes. This wine can also be enjoyed with spicy Szechuan meat dishes like Yu-Syang Pork and Kong Bao Chicken. Serve this wine slightly chilled, about 16℃.
Dr Henry John Lindeman, a British Navy Surgeon, planted his first grape vines in Cawarra, Australia in 1843. Over the past century and a half, Lindemans wines have become one of the most successful brand names in Australia’s wine industry. Lindemans is now owned by Southcorp, Australia’s largest wine producer.
