One of the greats, this First Growth wine from Pauillac is known for its balance and complexity. Not the heaviest of the great Bordeaux wines, Lafite Rothschild in a great year exhibits an elegance that's hard to match. Beware of this wine in off years (bad vintages). Like most of the best red Bordeaux red wines this wine is a perfect match with roasted beef and lamb dishes as well as a Prime Steak with no sauce.
