This is a pleasingly fruity wine. The wine features a bright, middle-deep lemon-yellow color with elegant bouquet of white peach, apple and melon and flavors of green apple and peach with an aromatic finish of melon. The Rothschild family has owned Château Lafite for five generations; several years ago, Baron Eric de Rothschild began making less expensive approachable wines called "Réserves des Barons" to augment the supply of their prestigious wines.
Serve at 8 - 10℃; matches well with grilled scampi with thyme, pasta with squid or cuttlefish and other seafood dishes; also nice with lemongrass duck liver.
