From the acclaimed Clos Quebrada de Macul vineyard near the foothills of the Andes Mountains, Domus Aurea is one of Chile's best red wines. The 2008 wine has a deep ruby red color, earthy nose of red currant, balsamic, tobacco and spices and chewy ripe blackberry, cherry and eucalyptus flavors with a long soft tannic finish. Since its first vintage in 1996, Domus Aurea has been at the forefront of Chilean winemaking with site-specific, low-yield wines of great personality.

Allow 1 hour for breathing and serve at 16 - 18℃; fine with all types of grilled and roasted red meats; especially nice with grilled Inner Mongolian spiced leg of lamb.

20 months in French oak and 18 months bottle aging.

Drink nicely now but will continue to develop over the next 10 years and can be cellared for another 15 years.
