At $500 this refreshing Chardonnay wine is an inexpensive way to enjoy a good California Chardonnay.
E & J Gallo's Sycamore Canyon, Chardonnay, 1999 is a less serious wine than the company's Coastal Vineyards, Chardonnay, but it's still a fine wine with good concentration. The wine has a nice golden color and plenty of classic Chardonnay butter and oak flavors balanced with flavors of tart apples. The wine's bouquet is also quite impressive. This wine matches very nicely with Grilled Herb Chicken, Cajun Grill Pork Chops and Taiwanese dishes like 3-Cup Chicken, Frog and Cuttlefish.
