At just over $1,500, this wine is a very high quality Australian red wine. The wine has Bordeaux style class and balance with Australian exuberance.
Named after the founder of Xanadu Wines, this wine is a Bordeaux style blend. The fruit for this wine is picked and aged separately for one year then blended. After blending the wine is aged in new French oak for 12 months. The care and skill of the winemaking is reflected in the good balance and elegance of this wine. The wine has a deep re-purple color and spicy cassis bouquet. Black and red berry flavors are complemented by slightly spicy fruit flavors. This is a tannic wine but the tannins do not overwhelm the palate. Enjoy this flavorful wine with Prime Steaks, Roasted Leg of Lamb and Grilled Australian Wild Boar. Serve this wine at 18 ℃.
Established in 1968 by Irishman John Logan, Xanadu Wines has expanded rapidly and build a very good reputation in the Australian wine industry. The company purchased the historic Norman Winery (established in 1853) and expanded its own properties along the Margaret River region of Western Australia. The family-owned company now produces 11 varieties of wine under three different labels.
