This is a delightful $490 (375ml/half bottle) all-natural, partially sparkling sweet wine from Italy. If you love high-quality, sweet wines but don't want to spend a lot of money, try this wine.

This single vineyard DOCG Muscat wine has a pale straw color with green highlights. The wine has ripe citrus and honey bouquet with delicate flavors of melon, honey and sweet berries. Unlike cheap sweet wines this wine is well balanced with a slightly tart, clean finish. For a medium-priced wine the balance between the sweetness of the wine and the acid is very impressive. This tastes like a much more expensive wine. Enjoy this wine with a variety of sweets including Petit Fours, Black Forest Cake and New York Style Cheese Cake. This wine also matches well with a variety of fresh tropical fruits available in Taiwan. Serve this wine well chilled, about 6℃.

Since Michele Chiarlo bought his first vineyard in 1956, he has built a reputation as a top maker of high-quality, all natural wines that are quite reasonably priced. Every vineyard he uses for his wines must lie on a hillside optimally exposed to the sun. He is also known for extensive pruning and cluster thinning, exclusive use of organic fertilizers and intentional reduction of yields below legal ceilings.
