An unusually ripe Beaujolais Villages Nouveau wine as indicated by the relatively high 13% alcohol, this wine is yet another example of the excellent 2003 vintage. Since 1750 Bouchard Aine & Fils has turned out some of Burgundy's and Beaujolais' finest wines. The company's 2003 Beaujolais Villages Primeur is a fine wine with very attractive purple red color and fruity and floral nose. The wine is quite concentrated for a Beaujolais with plenty of fruit flavors and a tart freshness. Match this wine with pasta and risotto meat dishes, cheese dishes, as well as grilled slamon or cod steaks. Serve at 12 C.
