La Fleur Petrus is a lighter wine than Petrus but has a similar, but less concentrated, bouquet. It’s certainly not as powerful as the Ch. Petrus, but it does share much of the great wine’s elegant character. Drinking this wine is good way to taste some of the complexity and variety of the elegant fruits and spices that Ch. Petrus offers. After about 10-15 minutes the Ch. La Fleur Petrus 1993 develops a beautifully complex variety of fruit and spice scents. This wine should be enjoyed with the nose first. 1993 was not a great vintage, so the La Fleur Petrus 1993 has already shed much of its tannins making it very soft and smooth. The wine is at its peak and should be enjoyed now. If you want a gourmet peek at the Petrus experience, try this wine.
