One of the best Champagnes of the great 1996 vintage, this is a robust and flavorful wine that matches exceedingly well with food; the 1996 wine is made from predominantly Grand Cru vineyards and features a lovely medium golden color; expressive nose of citrus, flowers and vanilla; and lots of red fruit and tasty oak flavors; the bubbles are quite fine; match with roasted or grilled lobster, elegant veal and chicken dishes and Peking duck; since 1829, this family owned business has been one of the greatest Champagne houses with numerous top quality vineyards that produce some of the best vintage and non-vintage Champagnes.
