Bordeaux style red wine with unusually high percentage of Merlot; the 1999 wine has a very dark purple-red color, dark berries nose and complex flavors of black fruit, leather and subtle oak; the Merlot component gives the wine a fruity-fleshiness that balances nicely with the structure of the Cabernet Sauvignon; match with Prime steaks and lamb chops as well as with roasted Beijing style meats; established in 1972 by geologist and wine connoisseur Tom Jordan, this winery makes widely acclaimed Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay wines.
