Lovers of the Semillon variety must try this wine; the wine features a light green-golden color and very expressive mature yellow and tropical fruit scents and rich and weighty flavors of ripe citrus and grass along with a smooth and deliciously long toasty finish; the wine is drinking nicely now and is remarkably fresh for its age and should continue to be at its peak for three to five more years; match with grilled or broiled fish and seafood stews and casseroles; Edward Tyrrell first planted vines in 1858; still family owned, Tyrrell's has grown into one of the biggest Australian producers with a very extensive portfolio of wines.
