This is a macho wine with intense purple-red color, spicy fruit nose and concentrated flavors of dark fruit, black pepper and licorice; the wine has a soft yet spicy tannic attack on the palate and a remarkably long finish for a wine in this price range; this flavorful wine is an intriguing mix of two seldom blended varieties that continues to develop hours after being opened; match with well-marbled red meats including Teppanyaki beef; founded in 1996 by the Chilean giant Concha y Toro, Trivento is making increasingly impressive wines available at reasonable prices.
