Entry level wine of this fine estate, the 2002 Formulae is a pleasant-drinking, unpretentious wine with ruby red color, red fruit and spice nose and nice round flavors of cherries and ripe berries; this is a medium-bodied wine that should be enjoyed young; match with meat pizza and pastas as well as Taiwanese and Cantonese meat dishes; established in 1141 by the Ricasoli family and returned to family ownership in 1993; the estate is run by the 32nd Barone Ricasoli, Francesco Ricasoli, producing award-winning wines that are among Italy's finest.
