Nearly as good as the producer's wonderful Shiraz, Toolleen Vineyard's 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon wine has a dark garnet red-purple color, lovely nose of cassis and dark berries and concentrated, very smooth dark fruit, cocoa and subtle oak flavors; a well-made wine with good balance and supple tannins, this wine is drinking nicely now and will last for several more years; match with roast beef, leg of lamb or steaks and chops; established in 1996, Toolleen is a new Victoria producer that has already build a very good reputation for high-quality red wines.
