Made from old vines, this earthy wine features a dark garnet red color, intense spicy ripe red and black fruit nose and lovely multi-layered flavors of preserved fruits, licorice and black pepper; this is smooth and elegant wine with a long round tannic finish that exhibits the best of the distinctive terrior of the Cotes de Provence; match with slightly spicy meat stews or meat roasts as well as with moderately spiced Asian meat dishes; located between Toulon and Saint Tropez in the South of France, this estate has vineyards with some of the oldest vines in the region; Domaine Saint Andre de Figuiere uses a combination of traditional methods and the latest technology to produce a range of reasonably-priced premium wines.
