Cape Mentelle has for many years been known as one of Australia’s finest producers of Cabernet Sauvignon wines. This wine was produced in the renowned Cabernet Sauvignon vintage of 2001 features a beautiful deep brick red color, exuberant black berry flavor with a hint of cinnamon, as well as a smooth and rich taste; good tannic structure and a long finish with a spice scent; this Bordeaux styled wine matches nicely with all type of grilled meats, especially steaks and lamb chops, as well as a variety of Chinese meat dishes including Shanghai Style Pork Ribs and Beijing BBQ Lamb. Cape Mentelle is located near the Margaret River, established by David Hohen in 1971 and it is now under LVMH group, and continues to produce some of Australia’s most inspired and delicious wines.
