One of the best examples of wines made using the Ripasso technique of double fermentation, this wine features a dark ruby red color, intriguing dark fruit and black pepper nose and lovely concentrated ripe cherry and dark fruit flavors and an impressively complex finish.
Allow at least 30 minutes for breathing and serve at 18˚C; lovely with strong flavored or mature cheeses as well as a wide range of red meats and game, also quite nice with Cantonese style roasted pigeon.
24 months in Slavonian oak.
Drinking nicely now but will gain complexity over the next 5 years and can be cellared for 20+ years.
