This is a full-body, complex and refined wine with deep ruby red color, an elegant aroma of green pepper, bitter almond and spice, and scents of plum and flower; the wine offers exuberant flavors of spice and truffle and a nice finish with a hint of syrup sweetness; ever since Michele Chiarlo bought the first hillside vineyard in Piedmont at 1956, the winery has built its reputation of producing high-quality, reasonable priced wines.

Allow 30 - 60 minutes breathing time, and serve at about 18℃; the wine matches well with roasted meat or game, as well as flavorful aged cheese.

12 months in large oak, 10 - 12 months in bottle.

Drink now or within 6 - 8 years.
