The second wine of the historic second growth Château Rauzan-Ségla, the wine has a garnet-ruby red color and attractive aromas of red and black fruit and supple plum and dark berries flavors with hints of spices and a nice, palate-coating tannic finish; since the 1983 vintage Château Rauzan-Ségla has regained its historic position as one of the greatest Bordeaux wines and this trend has continued after acquisition by Chanel in 1996.
Allow 45+ minutes breathing and serve at 18℃; good with all types of meat, especially lamb; try with Roasted Lamb and Stir-fried Mutton.
12 - 15 months in French oak.
Drinking nicely now and can be cellared for another 10 years.
