Made from old Monastrell vines, this wine has a deep ruby-Burgundy red color, earthy aromas of smoky dark fruits with dry fruit nuances, smooth, rich flavors of red berries with a smooth tannic finish; established in 1999 to make wine in the up-and-coming Jumilla region, Casa de la Ermita is now the largest producer in the region and a new star in Spanish wines.
Allow 20 minutes for breathing and serve at 18℃; good with many kinds of meats especially grilled meats including Korean BBQ and Cantonese BBQ Combination.
10 months in American and French oak.
Lovely now but can be cellared for another 5 - 7 years.
