The best Tuscan producers, including Barone Ricasoli, were able to make excellent wines in the difficult 2008 vintage; this wine features a ruby red color, dark berry and flower nose and abundant, pleasant flavors of ripe red and dark fruits and smooth tannins; established in 1141 by the Ricasoli family and returned to family ownership in 1993; the estate is run by the 32nd Barone Ricasoli, Francesco Ricasoli, producing award-winning wines that are among Italy's finest.
Allow 20+ minutes for breathing and serve at 18℃; match with a variety of meats including Shanghai meat dishes with rich brown sauces and Beijing roasted meat dishes.
12 months in oak & 6 months for bottle aging.
Lovely now and will evolve over the next 3 - 5 years.
