What a good Ausi Shiraz should be, featuring a brooding black-red color, voluminous aromas and flavors of sweet dark fruit, spices and cocoa; the wine has velvety texture and generous smooth tannins. Started by coffee trader Bob Oatley in 1969, Rosemount is now part of the Treasury Wine Estates group and is considered one of Australia's top large scale red wine producers.
Allow 20 minutes for breathing and serve at 16℃; good match with BBQ and slightly spicy meat dishes; also fine with Sichuan style spicy steamed intestine or spareribs with rice powder.
18 months in a combination of American and French oak.
Enjoy now or over the next 5 years.
