The Lugny vineyard was planted with Chardonnay vines 30 years ago and is considered one of the top white wine vineyards in southern Burgundy's Maconnais region. The fine terroir of Macon-Lugny, Les Genievres is apparent in the wine's flowery bouquet and clean fruity flavor. This golden colored wine offers flavors of green apple and unripe pears and has a clean slightly acid finish. Overall the wine has impressive balance for an inexpensive wine.
