There are few good inexpensive white Bordeaux wines available in Taiwan. At $420 this dry, refreshing wine is one of them.
The wine has a pale yellow-greenish color and light floral bouquet. Its flowery bouquet is quite pleasant. The peach and citrus fruit flavor are balanced with good acidity. The finish of the wine is slightly tart and refreshingly dry. This is a light wine but still offers quite a good wine experience at a low cost. Pair this wine with Smoked Slamon, Seafood Salad and Maryland Fried Crab Cakes. The wine also matches nicely with Taiwanese Style Stir fried Baby Clams and Deep Fired Oysters. Serve this wine well-chilled, about 8- C°.
Chateau Timberlay has a history dating back to the 14th century, when France and England where fighting the 100 Years' War. At this time, the Chateau and all of Bordeaux where under English control. Robert Giraud S.A., one of the biggest Bordeaux shippers and vineyard owners, now owns the chateau. Chateau Timberlay has a reputation for producing consistently good, reasonably priced wines.
