Top flight red Bordeaux that doesn't carry a top-level price tag, the 1995 Calon Segur is a classic Saint Estephe wine with purple-reddish color, dark fruit and spices nose and lovely complex flavors of exotic spices, black cherry and leather; this is a very concentrated wine with a lovely long, slightly spicy finish; the 3rd growth Chateau Calon Segur is an ancient Bordeaux chateau that makes hearty wines made to last; the Chateau has been on a hot streak since the 1995 vintage.


Serve at 18℃, the wine matches well with grilled meats, roasted French pigeon and cheeses.
