Another excellent wine from Umberto Cesari, the wine has a clear ruby red color, intense red fruit perfume with a touch of spice and concentrated flavors of black cherries, black currents and tobacco with a pleasing long subtle oaky finish; the wine is admirably complex and well-balanced; match with roasted duck and game dishes; since 1965, Umberto Cesari has built an excellent reputation for organically produced wines that are available at reasonable prices.
