One of the world's most popular Cotes du Rhone wines, Jaboulet's Parallele 45 is sourced from numerous Southern Rhone growers; the wine features a ruby-cherry red color, exuberant ripe red fruit and spice nose and pleasant flavors of berries and black pepper; this is a typically fresh and spicy Southern Rhone wine; match with a wide variety of meat dishes as well as some spicy Chinese and Asian meat dishes; in the 1970s, Paul Jaboulet Aine played an important role in lifting the image of the Rhone Valley as a producer of great wines; after a dry spell in the 1990s, this large firm is now back on track.
