Blockbuster right bank Bordeaux style California wine, this predominantly Merlot wine features a dark purple-ruby red color, fragrant nose of cherries, cedar and nuances of vanilla and robust flavors of cherries, blackberry and smoky oak; round in the mouth with supple tannins and a spicy dark chocolate finish, the wine is drinking nicely now but should develop even greater complexity with more aging; match with roasted fowl including turkey or duck; founded by Jess Jackson of Kendall Jackson in 1989 and named after his father, Stonestreet & Sons Vineyard & Winery has become one of the best premium producers in Sonoma.
