This medium-bodied, sweet wine has an attractive deep orange-gold color with ample scents of honey and sweet stewed fruits and sweet melon and candied fruit flavors; this is a well-balanced wine that's not overly sweet with a clean, slightly acidic finish; match with fresh cold or sauteed foie gras or pastries and cakes with fresh fruit; located in the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains, the Madiran wine region has been producing wine for over 2,000 years; Alain Brumont, renowned for his long vinification process and slow maturing wines, is one of the most respected producers in this intriguing wine region.
