Another good value Nero d'Avola wine with lots of character, this wine has a very deep purple-red color with violet hue, ripe red and dark fruit nose that evolves into gentle aromas of black pepper and concentrated flavors of ripe plums, chocolate and spices; the tannins are well-developed and the wine has a decently long and slightly spicy finish; pair this wine with all types of BBQ meats as well as strongly flavored Chinese meat dishes like Szechuan Duck and Yunan Deep Fried Sausage; established in 1882, Piccini is now one of the Tuscany's largest and most respected producers responsible for 15% of all of Chianti Classico production; the company also produces quality wines in other parts of Italy.
