Proving the adage that great Chateaux make excellent second wines, this wine has many of the smooth and elegant qualities of its big brother at a fraction of the cost with a dark ruby-garnet red color, seductive nose of ripe black fruit and spices and very round plum and cassis flavors with a touch of vanilla in its long smooth finish.

Allow at least 40 minutes for breathing and serve at 18˚C; match with roasted meats including roast beef and turkey as well as Chinese Salty Duck.

18 months in new French oak.

Nice now but will get better over the next 2∼3 years and can be kept for a decade.
