In the 2004 vintage, this beautifully balanced wine is clearly one of the best in its class with a garnet red color, lively and elegant nose of ripe cherries and red berries and smooth and generous dark fruit flavors with a bit of tobacco and a long round, slightly tannic finish.
Allow at least 20 minutes for breathing and serve at 18˚C; good with many types of fowl as well as red meats and the generous fruit and smooth nature of this wine also make it a lovely match with liver dishes including Taiwan Style Sauteed Pork Liver.
18~20 months in 50% new French oak.
Drinking very nicely now and can be kept for over 5 years.
