Fine example of a Left Bank Bordeaux style wine from Napa Valley, the wine has a deep ruby red-purple color, rich aromas of spicy red and black fruit with a touch of mineral and multi-layered flavors of ripe black fruit and cocoa with a velvety texture and an almost sweet complex tannic finish.
Allow 30+ minutes to breathe and serve at 18℃; the ripeness of this wine make a fine companion to all types of roasted meats seasoned with fresh black pepper or slightly spicy marinades, also very nice with Sichuan meat dishes like Sauteed Chicken with Dried Chili Peppers.
18 months in French and American oak.
Approachable now, but will develop greater complexity and soften over the 3~5 years and can be cellared for more than a decade.
