2003 was an excellent vintage in the Barossa Valley and Wolf Blass was able to make one of their best Black Label wines, the wine has a deep purple color with reddish hue, rich scents of plums and chocolate and super concentrated spicy black fruit flavors with a hint of coffee; this is a very big wine with excellent weight in the mouth; the 24 months in new American and French oak barrels have helped mellow the wine; raised in Germany, Wolf Blass bought his first vineyard in Australia in 1996; the company is now a part of the Fosters Group.
Allow 1 hour for breathing and serve at 18℃; enjoy with Roasted Leg, Rack of Lamb or Prime Rib.
