To be honest, white Cotes du Rhone wines are not very popular in Taiwan. This is a shame because the tart, clean style of these wines is very appropriate for a hot climate. The most experienced ISACS Guide tasters enjoyed this wine for its crisp and very dry nature. Beginners often look for a very fruity or slightly sweet wine, this is definitely neither overly fruity nor sweet. But this is the wine's charm. It is good in a different way, a more refreshing and dry way. The restrained fruit and floral flavors are nicely balanced by a tart finish. This wine matches very nicely with a variety of salads including Salad Nicoise, Chef's Salad and Smoked Salmon Salad. This wine also matches nicely with popular Szechuan dishes like Spicy Bean Curd and Pig's Intestine and Duck's Blood in Spicy Sauce. Serve this wine well chilled, about 8 C°.
