Hugh Johnson rightfully calls the N'Antia I.G.T "outstanding". This is an exciting example of Italy's new style of winemaking. It's also an excellent value! The use of the newest technology and Cabernet Sauvignon grape (blended with the Sangiovese and Merlot varieties) has resulted in a deliciously full-bodied and fragrant wine. The wine is processed in stainless steel vats that are turned daily by workers. The wine is then aged for 15 months in French oak. This wine exhibits a lovely concentration of elegant fruits and spices and matches nicely with some of the fun dishes of Tuscany including Florentine Beefsteak (made from the famous Chianina white cattle) and Florentine Roasted Pork Loin and Potatoes.
