Another great Pol Roger Champagne from the wonderful 1996 vinatge, the wine features a beautiful light salmon-pink color, very fine bubbles, red cherry and red citrus nose and rich flavors of red fruit and minerals and a beautifully long finish with hints of roses; this is a particularly full-bodied wine for Pol Roger and matches beautifully with a wide variety of western and Chinese foods including Peking duck; established in 1849, Pol Roger is a top Champagne house with wines that have been favored by the English royalty and Winston Churchill.
