Tavel is one of the world's best rose wines and Jaboulet's 2003 is a fine example of a delicious rose with bright peach color, plenty of red fruit scents and strawberry and floral flavors; this is a dry, refreshing wine best enjoyed young; excellent as an aperitif or matched with Provencal salads and seafood as well as many Asian seafood dishes; in the 1970s, Paul Jaboulet Aine played an important role in lifting the image of the Rhone Valley as a producer of great wines; after a dry spell in the 1990s, this large firm is now back on track.
